Pyrography is the art of burning designs onto wood, paper, leather, bone, and even cave walls. Sometimes called Poker Art or Poker Work. Modern pyrography art is mostly done with electric woodburing pens. Unlike many other arts, a competent Applied Pyrographer is a composite of many skills including woodcraft, wood finishing, drawing/artist, designer, graphics artist, computer graphics expertise, woodcarver, photographer, researcher and pyrography .
